Biography
​
As an individual, I have always been drawn to the idea of artistic expression in order to navigate life. I have an enormous interest in sociology and have chosen art as my tool to negotiate concepts which fascinate me. My curiosity concerning photography and videography began at a young age, creating short videos with my friends which led to being awarded my schools art prize for that year. I then went onto study Art Craft and Design as well as Fine art, Painting and Sculpture in St Johns Central college in Cork. Here, I found my niche for photography and videography which sparked an interest in LSAD as a whole. I prepared my portfolio and was offered a place within the college that year, having been given the opportunity to experience many mediums of art, I inevitably chose to study Lense based media (Photography Film and Video).

Statement
​
My current work explores the decision of performance throughout our day, unconsciously and consciously. Using the word performance to describe the different persona in which individuals enact in order to ease their experience or for personal gain during mundane interactions. Dissecting the contrast between decision and impulse to interact in a certain way. I have a fascination with the ability and inability to summon these personas on hand. My work dissects human behaviour and interaction within social situations as well as alone. My main focus within our current situation is perception of self. Taking direction from Erving Goffman, my work investigates the dramaturgical perspective in order to offer an understanding of human interaction within any given circumstance. I work primarily with digital photography and image/video manipulation programs such as photoshop and premiere pro.
